Robert has a letter writen to Anna Hauptman from his father which he claims to further substantiate his claim as Charles Jr. Chaseing the Lindbergh Legacy www.seminolemagazine.com/Lindberghlegacypt2d04.htmAldinger Family Timeline www.Lindberghkidnappinghoax.com/Aldinger.htmlRobert has an impressive story that Lindbergh baby was to be exchanged with an Aldinger baby. There are several connections to Hauptman's acquaintances and time spent in an orphanage that may hold more clues in the kidnap case.

Hmm-m-mm? Am just wondering if Dr Carrel may have been an early experimenter in artificial insemination. Cal a con-tri-bu-tor Someone's post said Cal said something about there would be (many?) more Lindbergs.

Mairi: are you drawing some analogy to CALs character or personality: e.g. poser, actor, pedantic, stilted, firm, stagy, pedagoge, purist, puritanical, stiff, controlling, formal, prim, cold, prude, formalist, hand-shaker, prohibitionistic, artificial?

Rick 3-skeptic 4~Actually my main thought was on the number of claimants. I don't see them as caljr, but was just musing if any of them may indeed be offspring of CAL's. You were on quite a roll with the question of CAL's character/personality traits!

A lot of the formaly accepted medical association papers are actuly a result of many years of other doctors experimenting with those procedures. For instance I had a finger sewn on by a homeopathic surgeon in the late 30's,but the medical profession didn't claim discovery of such procedures until the 70's.
You could be right about a Dr. Carrell experiment as he had every means at his disposal with the Rockefeller Foundation.

Mairi...well most men fancy themselves as brilliant and sensitive lovers- -practically direct decendents of Giancomo Casanova(1009) or Rudolph Valantino? But Slim does not appear to be in this molde. Hes more comfortable out in the hanger tuning a radial engine and planning his next prank. Likely a slam-bam thank-you Mom kinda guy?

Hi Rita/ there are some possible leads to Roberts theory in Loss of Eden. One guy in Pennsylvania claims that BRH was bragging about a curly haired little boy in the summer of 1932 before Manfred was borne? Could this be Charlie Jr. ? Well, we dont know. Could the teller be off by one year? Well we dont know.
I keep thinking about your Morrow Trust Theory which puts you on exactly the same page as Robert Aldinger. Just consider that after Dwight Morrows mysterious death, eg in perfect health, in Oct 1931...sombodies tiny little gears start turning. How much then would a kidnapped Charlie be worth? A measly $50,000 bucks?
I dont think so and noone else in thier right mind would either. if the snatchers are reading all the papers in NYC to find out when CAL is at fancy dinners AND to find out from Jafsie when the "mony is redy" over 18 times--well then they are also going to know that Charlie Jr. is worth a Kings Ransom!
Banks and/or Hearst News puts up $250,000 bucks for Charlies safe return but his Dad only puts up $50K?
Do You Believe That? Well, I dont.

I agree there is no serious way to believe dropping the 200g offer for 50g, and I think CAL might have had ulterior motive not to because their investigator would have come with the money.
This still leaves open the two or more directions this information could lead us. It could mean either CAL was hiding his guilt, or that CAL was on a tight rope bending to kidnap demands of even someone he suspected.
