IN social psychology group think is the term for what is occurring here like in most forums. There is a tendency for all group members to think alike and suppress dissent. There is also a high degree of group polarization also for the group to take more extreme positions than those of individuals. This can also be likened to two grumpy old men sitting across from each other at the club, where one says to the other, I've said it all and I'm not going to say another word.
It seems as though every time someone gets close to legitimate solutions to why the case events seem so unbelievable because of it's unorthodox handling by police and court, the grumpy old men jump in to say, since I've said it all I'm not going to say another word.
It is obvious from the conflicting stories made up by the case participants that something other than a kidnap happened, and even their timing conflicts with the possibility of a kidnap on the day that is claimed. Could it be that the employees thought they had just misplaced Charley, since they had frequently moved Charley to different locations while the parents were in the air, or did Charley really disappear this time, and not just another kidnap practical joke by Lindbergh.
