How long does it take everyone involved in this case to figure out, guess, assume or conclude that Charlie is dead? OK, so some need confirmation on May 12th....but thats just those not paying close attention like Violet Sharpe.
Two months earlier in Woodlawn Cemetary/Condon-John (CJ) axes "will i fry if the baby dies"?? OK now, this is a huge dose of reality therapy. Its March 12th so we can assume Charlie is dead already. How much earlier is the $64,000 question.
Condon says he wants to see the goods? This is never going to happen. Mickey Rosner is telling the Press daily "the baby is alive and well"? jafsie is posting in the NYC papers "baby alive and well"? Hello? Whos this for? Violet Sharpe?
The whole phoney scam about the Sleeping Suite hardly requires too many words. This ruse only confirms our suspicions that the gang cannot prove that Charlie is "alive and well"? He is not! At this point they cant even prove possession!
While Edgar Cayce only says that Charlie is somewhat sick, Mary Cerrita comes right out and states "the baby is dead"/ As the case drags on and on, CAL sails around the East Coast with Curtis on the Catchalot still imagining that Charlie is "alive and well" Do You Believe That? He is not. But why?

We have five or six Charley's right on the forum, and who knows one of them may be Charley. Don't forget the body found was unidentifiable and unless someone did some digital editing you can't really identify a skull by sight? If CAL had really identified that body would they have followed other leads? CAL identified the body quickly in order to put an end to extortions.

The Gold Standard for me in the I.D. of Charlie is Dr. VanIngen. He stays for the bungled autopsy performed by a Funeral Director. To some degree, the Family blew off this entire aspect of the kidnap? No matter how tragic and gut wrenching Charlie? was all wrapped up and cremated lickedy-split--had they already surmized his death? Certainly they wanted to avoid a public spectacle. Many try to say that VanIngen would not confirm the ID in public but only in private? As far as we know, there isnt any evidence that Charlie is still alive on Wednesday March 2nd. He could have fallen out of his crib (paul wendel) or been in hospital with a skull fracture--injured in some car crash? It makes more and more sense that the kidnap is separate from the extortion in the Bronx. Unless of course, CJ gives Condon the thumb guard and noone tells us? Wouldnt the B urlap B ag become the "last token" or sign that Charlie was to be found in the immediate area?
