I've read all the books about the Lindbergh case and I've never read anything about Nosovitsky being seen on the property. Where did you read it? There are pictures of Nosovitsky in a couple of the books and he had no resemblance to Hauptmann at all

To Anna, Carol It's easy to understand how various explanations have been given about sightings, as Donald Keyhoe had claimed to have seen some suspicious character peering through the window on the kidnap day, andseveral people have speculated different persons. There are several people around the country that either presently write or have in the past written localy on Lindbergh Case. There is one such man in St Petersburgh, and he had writups in the St Petersburgh Times that gave slightly differing stories.
Nosovitsky is an interesting case character in the he was known to associate within the Purple Gang, and that his mo was counterfiting. How he entered the case remains mostly mystery, but Cal had some strange affinity to such characters that matched his affinity for cruel jokes.

To kathy I didn' know that Dwight had swindled Nosovitsky, although Thats very often what it takes in getting to the million dollar mark.

Rita, my info comes from Behn's book and I think it was actually either JP morgan or the consulate in Mexico that involved DM with JJ Nosovitsky. I'll try to loolk it up.

For my 2 sense, i think Nosoviitsky resembles Fisch? Small in stature/ thin/ darkly European/ Italian/ large ears/ Jewish? These two would have made a great team to burn the Morrow/Lindbergh clan. Jacob J. "Doc" and a forger too--I nominate Doc for JJ Faulkner. Wouldnt he do a bang-up job forging Brunos german style handwriting for about $3k in Gold Certs?

Carol, I am not at all sure in which I book I read that Nosovitsky was spotted on the Lindbergh grounds or that he resembled Hauptmann. I saw a picture of Nosovitsky in which he looked like Hauptmann the way Hauptmann looked from a certain distance: long, thin, angular face, large eyes, etc. To me the resemblance was uncanny. If Nosovitsky truly was spotted on the Lindbergh grounds he might have been there for a bad reason, such as in framing Hauptmann for a nonexistent kidapping. Maybe Nosovitsky is the man Amandus Hochmuth saw in the green car with a ladder in the back. Although Mr. Hochmuth was known for his bad vision and stretching the truth, he could have been telling the truth that time. anne50

That was an interesting article Joe had on Ronnel's. Did you see it? Wish I could see a photo of Nosovitsky.

I just posted there, and think it could have been he was waiting for somone to complete another part of a plan that we have no lead to. I know there was another facet of plan that needed completion, the thirty thousand in gold hot certificates, and because of Wilentz having not interest in continueing any further investigation the certificates went to collectors.
