Hearst reporter Laura Vitray thought that Condons payment to CJ and other elements of the invstigation did not add up. Convinced a conspiracy was in the works she wrote a book and rushed it into print: The Great LIndbegh Hulabaloo...availble on Ronells Board. In the introduction, Vitray maintained that the missing child had NOT been kidnapped for ransom, nor was he in any danger? (April 12 1932). "Noone who has carefully examined the facts from day to day, can beleive that the removing of this child from its home was the work of cheap, money mad thugs nor of any ordinary kidnappers, wheter professinal aor amateur"! Vitray thought the Lindbergh kidnapping was engineered by organized crime to take the Mind of the Nation off the Depresssion, foreign tyranny and inner corruption.

Well, Vitray was right to be suspcious about many things, but Charlie coming home safe and sound was not one of them. Laura searched herself all around the Local Area and came into contact with Antonio Chowlewsky, the Amazon of the Sorrel Mountains. I still think that this woman who owned shacks on Zion road just north of Highfields is the famous Pig woman? But there are no references to her anywheres on the web or in any of the standard LKC books, with exception of Jones. rita claims Antonio was married to a Dr. at Skillman which would also be a nice connection. But her last name pulls up no hits on Google.

'm glad you brought this up as back when I started reading the internet about the case the pig lady had several pages of internet sites. There seems to be some official gov contolling factor that removes items that might prove their involvement. In the last few months these sites have been removed sort of like Micael's old board, because I believe we are getting to the real truth behind the case.

Rita/ good point. It was a huge loss when MMs board crashed. I was leading in top 10s at the time? Ha/ Its fascinating that the only remaining reference to Antonio Chowlewsky is laura vitrays book. Vitray must have been fiesty and openly independent. Her book came out before Charlie was rediscovered on Mt. Rose Road so it provides a clear perspective of March 1932. Vitray was there alive and upfront! LV summarily dismisses all the popular theories of the LKC: 1. A jealous admirer of Betty Gow? No 2. An underworld kidnap ring? No 3. Henchman of Al Capone? No Vitray thinks Charlie was packed off to camp by the family and he will soon return home.

I still suspect that Charlie is or was alive to the present day, and if you examine some of the symbolism used you will find 4U-13-14 in Hauptman's Licence plate. I gather that the police inspector who was permenantly following leads had 14 leads the inspector and Carrel investigated. One of those leads they chased may have been Charlie, as I don't think Lindbergh's believed Charlie was dead either.

Well, the Gold Standard for identifying Charlie was Dr. Van Ingen the kids pediatrician. DrVI had just seen Charlei a couple of weeks prior. He should have recognized him? Trouble is my suspicion is that VANINGEN balked on the id to avoid discussing the curled toes and huge swelled head or any other oddities or deformaties present ? He just sidestepped the entire issue. I dont see how VanIngen could have said that "mild rickets and a square head" were considered "normal"? How many ways can a skeleton become dry, brittle and blackend in just a few weeks in the colde hard ground?
Rita do you mean the symbolism of the 3 holes plus Vesica Pisces on the ransom notes??? I think this symbol was designed to alert any Freemasons not to spill the beans. Keep the Secret.
